Please check the date of your subscription. You can view it from the Configure > Security > Licensing page.

It has nothing to do with my subscription date, but if you must know it was valid on 8/12/2019. The problem seems to be on your end.

It actually expires on 8/2/2020, it was renewed a few months ago by you personally. What would you like me to try next?

Hi Ray,
The subscription date that you are seeing for the installation is the one that we are checking against. I confirmed that your production key has a current and valid subscription date of 8/2/2020.
Is this installation using an older developer key perhaps?

Katie, this is a new install.
Update:
I entered an old license, updated the system, and then reentered my new license again. Went to the main menu in the admin and went back to to check for updates and the update was there.
I got out of the system and now I'm trying to get back in and the system will not load. Please let me know the detailed steps that I need to take to edit whatever file necessary to let me back into the system.
A typical Monday morning I guess.

Katie,
Please generate a developers license like the old one that expired on 8/2/2019 for "rfl01". This site is not live and because it's behind firewalls that might be creating the issue were we cannot verify against your servers.
The one ending in "def0" which is a live version is not working for us.
Also let me know what file I need to manipulate in order to get this thing up and running again, the last thing that I need to do or want to do is restore the system image.

Thank you for your email with the new license however, I am not able to enter the license as described since I no longer have access to the backend.
What file or what table do I need to edit to insert the new license information?

If you delete the app_data/commercebuilder.lic file, and re-access any page, it will trigger the update key page.
Enter the correct key and the install should begin working again.

Unfortunately this is not working for me, it's nice when things work in the lab but not at a customer's location. When I get to the office I will restore the system image from last night and hopefully everything will be back to normal. Everything was working properly untill I switched licenses using the admin backend.
I have tried restoring this file from a previous backup, last night, I have restored the database as well in the event that there's something there was altered, no go, the website will not load.
I will restore the system image and take it from there.

Katie, I'm having the same problem (Current Version: 9.0.0.5588, "No upgrades are available for your store at the moment, please check back later."). I am still using the free "Asp.Net Shopping Cart for Developers" version of the software while I work on porting my custom code over from AC Gold. How can I get the update? I really need it so I can port all my plugins (which have custom database tables associated with them) using the official plugin system rather than my custom plugin system I wrote for Gold.

Same problem here. Have a shared hosting account with a test site running straight, unmodified b5588. The upgrades page says no available upgrades. Licensing page shows:
License Type: DEMO Subscription: None Expiration 2049-Sep-05

Hello Katie,
I have done a full system restore and everything is back to normal. When switching the licenses it also upgraded the URL path, which I believe is stored in a database table. This is why the website would not load.
I will applied the new developers license for "RFL" later and advise you of any future problems. It seems other people are having issues too, so much for well tested procedures. I also would recommend a manual update process just for issues like this.
I hope this helps someone else.

Thanks, Katie This licensing thing is very confusing to me. When you first install Able v9, you're given the option to "Install a development version (key not required)". Now you're saying a key is required, if you want your "development version" to install needed bug fixes. What's the point of offering a "development version" if it can never be updated? Who would ever want to develop on such an install? That's a pretty key detail omitted from the development version install page "By the way if you choose this route you cannot download any future updates"........

Hi Joe,
I agree that the installation option is misleading. I've already changed it back to Install a "Demo" version. It was that way originally, but we were hoping to make it easier for you all to develop without having to go through the process of another key request, but honestly, I didn't think about upgrading demo versions. That needs to be documented right away. The install option will be relabeled for the next version.
For now, let me get anyone who is developing on AC9 a development license key. (This will also remove the nag message)
Request it through your order, or send me a private message. Whatever is easier. It was never our intention to make the new Upgrade a difficult process..it just requires an actual license key to work properly.

When I log into ablecommerce.com (using my ablemods.com account), I click the Orders tab. This shows me two orders. I click the order number and I am now on the view-order page.
However there is Notes section on the page. So clicking the 'Request Key' link at the top does not work. There's no way to request a key from the page.
I've sent you a PM for license key request.
The ability to set up an install without a key is very beneficial. Just so I understand things properly, is this how your licensing is intended to work?
Demo Install can be performed without a key Install works on any domain name Install will not permit upgrades Install will expire in X days Nuisance message appears randomly Checkout address data obfuscated
Development Install requires a development license key Install only works on specific domain key'd by the license code Install will permit upgrades Install will not expire Nuisance message disabled Checkout address data is passed

Hello, I made some updates to the instructions for this upgrade.
