I am currently working on a conversion site that has over 400 products.
I uploaded them via csv file to the new database, but now need to move them to their specific catagories.

The only way I am able to do this now is to click on products, select the product, hit the catagory tab then select the appropriate catagory.
Once I click save and close, it brings me to that products page, not back to the products list so that I can modify the next one.

Perhaps an option where a list of products is generated, then individual products can be selected, then have a drop down box with the options " Delete", "Move To" or "Cancel" to finish the task.
Basically a bulk edit.

Try in the admin area.

Products > Batch Edit

See if that helps.

Hello,

We have a Batch Edit for products, but it isn't practical to generate a category list from the interface, so that may not work for this particular task.

We also have the Import Product feature, which I'm assuming you must have already used. From that interface, there is an option to assign categories to your products - either by selecting from the screen, or using the data within your CSV file.

There is another feature where you can select one or more products from the Manage > Catalog page and move them to a different category.

Lastly, by using Zapier and a Google Sheet, you can update any field of the product just by changing it in your sheet and having the Zap template setup to make the change to your store.

Lots of options here, so perhaps one of these suggestions will fit the bill.
Thanks for your support!
