The help text on the Images tab when editing a product specifically states 600w x 600h is the best size to upload.

Why? Image sizes are configurable in the Image Settings page.

Doesn't the edit-product Images tab respect those values?

Hi Joe,

We are stating that the uploaded image should be at least 600w X 600h.

I think that it's difficult to recommend any particular size because the design of each individual product page would need to be considered.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I'll be sure to mention the images in more detail when the docs are updated for this area.

Why is it difficult to recommend any size? The product image sizes are already specified in the store settings page. Rendering those sizes, instead of some random 600x600 recommendation, just makes more sense.

Or just don't recommend any size at all. Like you said, every site design and page design is different.
