Another topic recently recommended the use of the Google Shopping Feed...
I am not very familiar with the feed behaviours and requirements, but from the Able documentation it appears we cannot create a complete Google Feed if we sell products with variants unless the products belong to the "Apparel & Accessories" Category.
In our business, the products that we sell use variants extensively but they are not in the Apparel category. As a result, even though we are able to specify the unique GTIN, pricing, Model Number, etc. for each variant in Able, we would not get a complete Google Feed that includes all of our product variants.
Currently with Able, as far as I can tell we will only get a feed for the main product where we might specify a "select" GTIN from one of the variants and enter it on the Basic Product Information page. Effectively achieving only one product feed from perhaps ten unique GTIN variants.
Is my understanding of this correct? Is this the proper time to review Able feed creation for enhancements such that we can toggle on "publish Feed using Variants" and Able would extrapolate all of the Product Variants as individual products to ensure all of our offerings are included in the Google Feed?

Just to agree with what Jeff is saying, we have had to customize the Google feed for sites selling non-apparel products so that the variants show. Over the years. Google has changed to guidelines and allows variants for non-apparel products.

Jeff is right about the current implementation.
We have reported this issue as an enhancement.
Thanks for pointing this out!
