I just downloaded 9.0.4, made a copy of an existing 7.0.7 database and went through the install process. Everything appears to have upgraded correctly (no errors).

The dashboard showed recent orders and graphs, but when I went to search orders I was getting either no orders returned or a 500 error.

As I explored I realized that there wasn't a payment gateway set up. I set up the Authorize.net CIM gateway and copied the settings from the old site. Now the order search appears to be working.

Is it possible that the payment gateway needed to be set up for order search to work on existing orders?

Hi,

Yes, you need to set up the Authorize.Net CIM payment gateway in AC9 after a successful upgrade but I was unable to reproduce the issue locally. I can't see 500 errors on the Order search screen.

Can you please share the 500 error details so that we can investigate them further? Please go to /web.config and turn the customerrors attribute to Off and then visit the Order search page for error details.
