Hello,

In 9.0.3 should we not be expecting results to be returned by searching for a GTIN/UPC/ISBN value entered in the Product Data?

Can the search system be expanded to include matches to this field on the primary product page and product variants?

Thanks for checking on this.

-Jeff

Hi,

As of now, we are not supporting this field in the store search.

Thanks

Thanks for confirming. Can this be noted for improvement and also to include the GTIN and Model fields in the variants?

In the meantime, we are using the Model field in the Basic Product Information, but it would much better for the GTIN & Model information down to the variant level to respond to search. It will also avoid redundancy in our product details.

I didn't notice this item noted in the 9.0.4 Changelog.

Is this something we could bump up, please?

Thanks!

This is registered with us but we didn't make this a part of 9.0.4.

This will be discussed as it comes up in the queue.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi,

I'm hoping we can broaden the scope of search that was noted in this earlier thread to have the Search also include the variant details of products. Currently it appears that none of the data fields of variant details are included in any search by AC9.

When we have variant descriptions for Choice Name specifying a part number or color (Gold, Silver, Black) or other properties, proucts with these names do not show up in Search results. So even though the Choice Name shows on the product page, the AC9 search tool does not present these products in its results.

The search tool should include all relevant fields of Variants (Choice Name, SKU, Model#, GTIN) and present the related products. Duplicating all of this information in the Product "Additional Search Keywords" is redundant.

We're finding relevant site search for customers to be more imporant in recent years.

Thanks for considering these enhancements at the soonest opportunity.

Thanks!

-Jeff

Searching by GTIN would be a good feature for some of our sites who sell books. Right now, we have to have a custom search or add the GTIN (ISBN) to search keywords.
