demo demo demo, that is what is being returned as addresses when I play with the order system. My license is valid in this behavior is current regardless of whether the system is in demo mode or not. I have switched it back and forth a few times.

The emails that get generated show the correct billing and shipping address, again this is a development system. Is this the normal default for a development system and once we go live this behavior will correct itself?

Thanks

Base on this post from Katie.

http://forums.ablecommer...om/viewtopic.php?t=18841

Base on this post from Katie:

"One thing you can do is request a LIVE license that includes BOTH your production and development domains. This way you can test using a live key and when you are ready to take the site live, the key will automatically work without any changes."

Is this still correct?

Thanks

Yes, that is correct Ray.

We have the 'demo/dev' version, which is selected during install and requires no key. This version will have an intermittent nag message, and the customer's billing information is replaced with DEMO, DEMO.

We also have a separate 'development' key, and this is generated from an order where we match the general information to the production key. That is, we make sure the development key is tied to one or more domains/IPS, the number of Admin Users, and Subscription End date are all matched to the order's production key values. A development key is typically used if you are trying to upgrade from older versions of AbleCommerce, or you want the nag message removed. The billing information is still DEMO, DEMO. Note: Dev keys are free with all orders that include a production key.

Hope this helps

Thanks

I believe my post has been misread, I need the system to record proper addresses so I can use this information to create various reports, outside the system, and a fraud management system.

Can the development license which I paid for, and have been a loyal subscriber for many years, be configured not to replace "demo demo demo" in the address?

Thank you

You asked if this is still correct, and I answered yes.

Sorry to cause confusion with the added explanation of our key types. The ONLY way to remove the DEMO DEMO is with a production key.

just to clarify because this is very important to us.

I can ask for a key that both production and development? is this what you're trying to say? In other words it only has one set of numbers?

Thanks

All you need to do is request your production key, if you haven't done so already.

Submit your live domain and your dev domain or IP with the request.

e.g. Requesting a 9.0.2 live key for www.mystore.com and dev.mystore.com

The live key you receive will be able to respond each of the domains you provide. Of course, you will need to have your IIS website bindings setup accordingly, but the live key will not mask the order's billing information.

Let me know if you have any questions,

Katie

Katie as per your request I requested an additional LIVE developers license, again all I'm trying to do is continue working on our site locally without the "demo demo" constantly appearing on orders.

I appreciate your replies,
-Ray

Hi Ray,

You should have your adjusted key now. I know this gets confusing, but let me try to explain what we did.

There can be only 1 production/live key per license purchase. Your existing key was sent when you renewed your subscription, but it was never registered yet (installed), so we changed it to include the additional development domain and IP address. Now you can use this single key for your installation(s), both development and live.

Let me know if you have any trouble.

Thanks,
Katie

Katie thank you very much, the new licensing works and we should be launching hopefully by late this year or very early next year. I will need to purchase a second license for existing site later on.

Many thanks
