Does AbleCommerce support "less" files as opposed to "css"?

Can we have a "custom.less" as supposed to a "custom.css"?

If the answer is no, are there plans in the future to do so?

Thanks

Well out of the box we are using CSS for AbleCommerce. You can update your own theme to use LESS if you want to use a CSS preprocessor.

Well, you can have a custom.less and have it precompile into custom.css. This way you don't have to make any updates to style includes in theme. Alternatively if you don't want to precompile your less file then you can update _ThemeStyles.cshtml and _ThemeScripts.cshtml in your theme to include your less file.

You can update your theme to make it use LESS preprocessor if that's what needed in your case. We don't have any plans for using LESS or any other CSS preprocessor in the near future but if we did we will probably choose to precompile into CSS due to performance concerns.
