In our current AbleCommerce Gold R10, we have products separated into warehouses so we can have a different list of shipping methods per warehouse. This was problematic because many of the ship methods were basically duplicates.
I see in AbleCommerce 9, that shipping methods are now tied to ship groups rather than directly to warehouses, and that when we convert the database the warehouses and shipping methods convert over but are not tied together since there is no ship group.
With the new ship groups is there a way to say Warehouse A,B,C all use Ship Method "Overnight", and then warehouse A also used Ship Method "Ground" but the others do not?
Or would we need to create a ship group for each warehouse only containing the single warehouse and continue working as before with an extra layer in the middle?
I'm trying to determine the best way to configure ship groups and warehouses in the new system.
Thank you

Hi, In AC9, you cannot use Warehouse with ShipMethods or ShipGroups. You need to assign Warehouse(s) to Products. Products are then assigned to one or more ShipGroups. Quote:With the new ship groups is there a way to say Warehouse A,B,C all use Ship Method "Overnight", and then warehouse A also used Ship Method "Ground" but the others do not? Create a ship group: e.g SG-1 and assign one Ship Method (Overnight) Create another ship group: e.g SG-2 and assign both Ship Methods (Overnight + Ground) Now, Assign SG-2 to the products of Warehouse A & Assign SG-1 to the products of Warehouse B & C
