I'm curious to hear about the real-world performance for folks using AC9, especially if you are following guidance of seperate web/db servers, and your site receives high volume traffic and/or orders.

We used a SQL Profiler and there are over 50 queries on the home page/basket, over 50 on content pages, over 150 on most of our categories, over 100 on product pages. I thought maybe that was just the first load and then stuff would be cached, but the queries are not noticeably reduced on subsequent page views.

It looks like the vast majority are related to layouts and widgets. It can be slow at times with just me tooling around on the site. Not sure what happens when there are hundreds of users?
