We are in the process of migrating a site from AC7 to AC9. I was surprised when I was testing checkout that there was address validation built-in. From what I can tell, it appears that it is tied to Avalara. What I found curious was that it performs the validation on the Billing address, but not the Shipping address. Aren't most taxes in the U.S. based on where it is being shipped to? Would it be difficult to set it up to validate the Shipping address, or maybe even all addresses?

Ok, I just added a new address to the address book and it validated that. Looks like once the shipping address is in the address book it is assumed to be validated. I was previously placing an order with an existing account so it already had the address book entries.
