We only launched the new website last Thursday and we are already getting spam from the contact page.

Is there anyway to stop this?
We have the recaptcha engaged, but the seem to get around it.

So far we have gotten messages in russian, shay butter ads and some x rated stuff.

Unless something is extremely misconfigured, I find it very unlikely that spammers are using the content page as a means to deliver spam. I think it's more likely that they are using the email you have configured in your system, and that is where the spam is being sent to.

This is where a good quality spam filter comes into play. You can also set up email aliases specific to orders, contacts, reminders, notes. etc.. to specific emails, and then create specific email folders for those emails.

Using specific rules, you can move these emails into the proper folders, looking for specific conditions and bypassing any spam.

This is what we have done using a pop3 email system with only 2 main emails, and anything left over in the main email, is usually very little spam that is easy to delete.

If you want or need to block specific countries, a good firewall will do that.

I hope this helps.
