While building my new site, I have run into an issue where loading the home page on google chrome calls a error, ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS
I cleared the browser cache but it keeps doing it.
Any ideas on what could cause it?

Without knowing what customizations have been made, it is difficult to offer any meaningful assistance. This particular behavior can be caused by a huge number of reasons.

I have seen it happen when SSL is not configured properly in the hosting environment. I've also seen it happen when url redirects are configured improperly.

More details on your situation would be very beneficial.

This is still in test format so SSL isn't engaged.
The software won't allow it.
I will have to backtrack my changes, as it worked fine a few days ago
