Hello Dimi,

The only tool which we have found that works well for data migration is RedGate SQL Data Compare. There is a full-featured 14-day trial.

https://www.red-gate.com...opment/sql-data-compare/

I think it will be easier to bring over the v9 changes to the freshly upgraded Gold database, as I've found bringing users and orders over to be difficult due to db constraints.
Thank you for your support!

I think what he's asking is all those localization changes made to various text pieces throughout the shopper side. Let's say I update some text in certain buttons and links using the CMS. Are those stored in the DB? Or in a text file?

Hi Joe,

In AC9, the localization changes are stored in DB.

Ok thanks for letting me know.

I would highly recommend Able consider a new feature for importing/exporting content-related data. Because the previous site design cannot be upgraded, the vast majority of installs will have to follow the exact process detailed by the OP. Asking every client to recreate all those changes manually when they want to go live, or spend $ 515 to migrate changes made in the dev environment will substantially drive up the cost to upgrade.

And that's even assuming the client' dev SQL database and live SQL database are accessible via the internet. Not every environment permits direct SQL Server access. So Red-Gate isn't even going to work in certain environments.
