We have found that pirateship.com is much better for shipping rates than dealing directly with UPS and Fedex.
Is it possible to get Pirateship as a plugin?

Hi,

I briefly took a look at their offerings, and the first thing I noticed is that they don't provide live shipping rates. I don't see any kind of API that would be used for an integration similar to how we provide shipping rates in the store.

Take a look at the integration with Shopify on this page https://support.piratesh...shopify-integration-work

"Pirate Ship doesn't display live rates to your customers"

It looks like you can import orders into their system and get discounted shipping. You can do this without any integration since we offer an export orders feature.

The downside is that you would have to create a shipping method with 0 value to let your customers checkout. Then you would have to get your rates on these orders, notify your customer, get acceptance and payment before shipping.

I just don't know if this is what you are looking for.

I would recommend that he check out Ship Station, which is supported by Able and many other platforms. If you negotiate properly with UPS, you can continue to use their services and get a 40% reduction from your current billing.

Just call UPS and throw Ship Station in their faces, and they will negotiate and reduce your shipping cost to match.

I have been trying to get a rep from UPS to call us, but it never happens.
We ship and receive daily from our facility.
