Hello,

I am trying to change the theme in my Ablecommerce V9 website. have done some changes to the layout in my dev environment. but when I deployed the changes to Staging its not reflecting. Then I did some investigation and figure out that there are database changes as well. How do I migrate those changes to Staging and then to production, I can not restore a dev database to those environments. May I know what I am missing here please.

There are tables has the db changes
[ac_PageTemplateZones]
[ac_WidgetZoneItems]
[ac_WidgetZones]
[ac_LayoutZones]
[ac_Zones]

Thank you

Hi,

Which version of Ablecommerce are you using?
If you are using version 9.0.9, there is a new CMS Data Merge plugin that you can use to sync data between dev and production database.

Alternatively, you need to use a data compare tool like Redgate SQL Compare tool.

1- You upgraded from Gold to AC9. Say it dev db.
2- You worked on dev and made changes in layouts, templates, zones etc
3- When ready to go for production, take a fresh copy of upgraded database
4- Compare the live and dev databases within SQL compare tool and merge the CMS changes into the live database

I hope this helps!

There is another forum thread on this topic.

Plese mention any more help is needed!
