We have a client who is reporting that the restock notification form doesn't show for variants.
From what I can tell in the code, it was because an available date was required.
That isn't required for the restock notification form to show for products without variants- they don't have to have a notification date.

Hi Judy,

I was able to reproduce the issue, but I'm still thinking about the proper fix.

If all, or some, of the product's variants are out of stock, then we are not displaying the variants and choices on the screen at all.

And since the restock notification field is related to each variant, not the product as a whole, the customer cannot see the variants to select when they are out of stock or the field to be notified.

So it makes me wonder if the code is looking for an expected date to restock as a way of displaying the notification field.

Or the issue is that we actually need to be showing variants that are out of stock so the customer can select them, see they are not available, and then use the notification field.

I'll have to check with the dev team and see what they suggest.
