TO create a Blog in AC9 you need to follow these steps.

1- From the Admin menu go to Website > Webpages.

2- Click the ADD WEBPAGE button, a pop up will appear. Add the page Name or you Blog Title and click Save and Edit.

3- Now you need to assign a Page template. You can create a new one or you can just select the buit in page template "Blogs".

4- Next, you need to assign an Inner Template. You can leave it as Store Default or select "Webpage Content" from the list.

5- You can enter a Publish Date which will only appear when using the built-in Blog page template.

6- The Published By field is an entry for the name of the person who is authoring the webpage blog. Both publishing fields are optional.

7- Then select the HTML tab and add the content of your Blog Post. In the Content section, you can use the built-in editor to create the content for your Blog.

8- The Catalog tab is optional if you want to add direct links to any page. However, by checking the boxes next to any categories, this webpage can be displayed in a Blog format using the Article Listing widget or Article Listing Sidebar widget.

You may want to create a new category that will be used for your Webpage assignments. These categories can be used to organize your Blog pages.

For example, create a new Category and name it Blogs. Edit the category and leave the page template as Store default and select the inner template as Article Listing.
Visit this category page and it will list the Blog pages assigned to this category.

You can also use Article Listing Sidebar to list your blog pages.

When you create new content pages, they will automatically appear when assigned to the category you are using to organize your pages. Even though you can add new content pages from within the Website menu, it might be easier to add a new one through the Catalog menu instead. Either way works, but if you don't use the catalog menu, then make sure to assign the page a category from the tab available when editing.



Sorry the instructions are rough. I had planned on having this incorporated into the Merchant Guide by now, but I'm running about a week late.

I'm not sure about the design issues. It would be helpful if you can take a screenshot showing what you have now and what you would like to be different. Then we can give some pointers.

To add a blog post, you need to add a new webpage, not a new product.

Yes, each blog you create will be a new Content page.

This way you can have unlimited content for each blog. The content pages have features that allow you to include images, full and summary descriptions, author information, publishing dates (future if you like), and SEO optimization.

The 'category' is used to display the blog summaries (w/ a link to the full blog page) and for organization purposes. This is done by applying the 'Article Listing' template to the category that has some content pages assigned to it. Then you will see a Summary of each Blog (your list of content pages) with a link to the full page.

Please confirm that group restrictions for the blog page isn't enabled.
It might be because of group restrictions.
