If a person enters credit card info for a card that expires the current month and year, they get an error that date must be in the future. Their card doesn't actually expire until the end of the month. For example, a card with an expiration of 10/22 expires at 11/1/22. I checked an AC Gold site and the card was accepted there.

This is fixed in 9.0.7

[AC9-2016] - CC month/year validation prevents valid card to be used in the month it expires
