So far, I have been unable to find a display for showing the products sorted in admin order. I've tried switching the display to use Category Product Grid instead of Category Product Grid Multilevel. I tried this on a site in development and on my local site with AC products. Am I missing something?

Hi Judy,

Can you please provide some more details?

Are you comparing the sorting order for products from the Manage Catalog page?
If yes then for default sample data I can reproduce the issue if I see for example Food Category: site.com/Department/Food

It seems that there is an issue with the order of product display. It seems that if we are looking in root category it's working fine but if we see the products in child cateogry the order is not matched with the order of products we are seeing under Manage Catalog page listing.

I am seeing the same issue you are- sort order is not matching admin order, even though the dropdown for featured includes OrderBy ASC. The reason I tried switching to the Category Product Grid was that it said it showed the products in one category only. In AC Gold, the products would not necessarily sort correctly in the category deep display because there were products from different categories, but switching to another display page sorted them correctly because it was products/nodes in one category only.

There was only one page in gold that sorted by admin, the non-deep item display page.

Right, and the current one in AC9 doesn't sort correctly. There is also no category page that does CatalogNodes (including categories and webpages) that we have been able to find.

They should be sorted according to the drop-down selection. Deep item display never is sorted by how it's shown in the admin list.

This isn't supposed to be a deep item display. According to the description of the widget, it shows products in only one category and the dropdown is supposed to be by Featured, OrderBy, then Name and it doesn't do the OrderBy. Maybe it's because it's not using Catalognodes, it's using product datasource.

Thanks for identifying the issue. There is an issue with sorting in the Category Product Grid display.
I have reported a bug report. This will be fixed in the upcoming service release.
