Can't Upgrade a Gold12SR2 DB to V9 5588

We are currently in the process of upgrading a GoldR12SR2 Build 9476 DB to V9 5588. We are using Ablecommerce doc instructions, to the tee, Upgrading from Gold to Ablecommerce 9 and have found that when we get to the DB upgrade step we get an error. Quote:The specified database is not a valid version. This upgrade will only support Ablecommerce Gold R10 (build #8620) or a higher version. What's strange is there is still a green button to continue and when we do proceed we get a 404 error not found. Our DB is original from 5.5 with direct upgrades to 7.0.03 and then to Gold. We are currently up to date on GoldR12SR2 Build 9476 including all the patches. We run our DB's on a MS 2016 box and we have a V9 5588 Dev site running now that was a new install with no issues. I've tried several different installs methods in different fashions but still cannot get this DB to upgrade. Any feedback would be great. Ricky

Thanks for posting the details for us.
There must be something with 7.0.3 db's, I have that SAME thing on one I'm working on. That was the earliest version that Gold was able to upgrade. There must be some triggers, stored procedures or something that's throwing us off.
Here's what development found with the db I provided.
For a valid Gold R12 database we check "ac_RestockNotify" table, to confirm it's a valid R12.
Here's what we found from my attempt. Let me know if you find any of these issues.
Gold R10
The ac_GatewayPaymentProfiles table is missing, this table is not added for R10, but a column "PaymentMethodName: was added in Gold R10. but the table is not present for the provided database.
Also "ShipStationId" field is missing for "ac_OrderShipments" table, which was added in Gold R10.
R11 upgrades
PublishedBy and PublishDate columns added to ac_Webpages but ac_RestockNotify table missing
R12 upgrades — 'Web API Access' role missing in ac_Roles "Web API Users" group missing in ac_Groups table

Mike thanks for the input. So I checked the DB and here is what I have. The ac_GatewayPaymentProfiles Quote:(I do not have this table as well but I do have a table ac_PaymentGateways) table is missing, this table is not added for R10, but a column "PaymentMethodName: Quote:(This table is not present as well Only a table named ac_PaymentMethods) was added in Gold R10. but the table is not present for the provided database. Checking to see if there has been any update regarding this upgrade problem we are having. Has there been any progress on resolving this issue?

Hi Ricky,
Some of the past upgrades had issues, since this db is live we can't really go back and try them again. We may need to just do a create table to fix the issues. I'll ask the devs to step in with some advice. |
