Its kind of frustrating, I'll be working on a section of the site and then go to save my work and it bumps me to the login screen.
After re logging in, the work I did was lost.
This happens either in the admin panel or if logged in on the storefront side.

I wonder if this is a timeout issue, I forgot where one goes to increase the timeout limit.

Where exactly is that located?

Thanks

It's in the web.config file.

I'm still dealing with this constantly and its getting frustrating.
It logs me out at random times and then wants me to re-enter the username and password, plus do the recaptcha every time!
Not only that, it doesn't save my work or the page I was working on, so I have to start from scratch.

Timeout duration is 15 mins defined in web.config file. That means that a user is redirected to the login screen after inactivity for 15mins.
Can you please confirm that the issue is not because of inactivity?

If not then please share the area of the site and the type of work you are trying to do where the issue is occurring.

I am working on adding category and product images right now to our site. It is not live.
If I pause for a minute, it logs me out.
If I make a template change, it logs me out.
This happens using google chrome.
Being that I am still on a .giantcommerce.com url, I cannot setup ftp or access any of the config files for the site.

This happens using google chrome.

Does that mean that the issue is not happening on other browsers?

This would definitely aggravate me as well. First, you can deactivate the reCAPTCHA for now. This seems like a server setting error, I suggest you play with your web config file, and reset the IIS site.

Never heard of this issue before, and I can assure you it's not commonplace, otherwise everyone would be screaming. It has to be something unique to your hardware and software.

I have never had this issue unless I stepped away from the system for about 15 minutes.

Hope this helps,
-Ray
