When you edit a page layout and go to the design tab for an existing layout, it's very difficult to tell where each widget in the layout is actually located in the choices to the left.

For example, an installed widget could be a partial view widget spread across four different dropdown categories, it could be an HTML snippet or it could be a widget board.

When I'm recreating a page layout based on an existing one, I can't tell where each widget can be found in the choices to the left.

Maybe some sort of hover text on each widget in the existing layout that shows 'WidgetCategory.Header', 'Html Snippet' or 'Widget Board'.

I am assuming that you re referring to the page /Admin/Website/EditLayout/{id}

What do you mean by "choices to the left"

Sorry I'm not exactly sure what you call them. Content zones?

Here's a screenshot. Note the widgets added to the content zone on the right. But there's no way to tell where those came from. Are they widgets? Html snippets? Widget boards?

When trying to recreate a page layout from an existing layout, it's very slow to do because you have to search every section of the widget choices on the left to find it.

Did I make better sense that time?

Sure screenshot does explain it. We normally use the names that are appearing on Website admin menu.

I ll look into it and update.
