Hello,
We have just upgraded from 7.0.3 to 9.0.3.
Customers that have had received order confirmations, shipping confirmations or other messages from the 7.0.3 system may have a Link in their emails to click to view their order or log in to their account.
However, formatting of the link in the older version results in a 404 Error when they click to browse to the 9.0.3 site.
Old formatting of the links looked like the following and will result in a 404 Error:
http: //www.sitename.com/Members/MyOrder.aspx?OrderNumber=228196&OrderId=17099
New formatting drops out the .aspx, looking like this: https: //www.sitename.com/Members/MyOrder?OrderNumber=228219&OrderId=17122
Is there a way that we get the 9.0.3 system to intercept the older URL format so customers can browse directly to their account or order?
Thanks!
-Jeff

Have you tried the redirects feature.

Hi Mazhar, Yes, I had tried to create a Dynamic Redirect as shown: DynamicRedirectDefined.JPG (40kb) downloaded 0 time(s).But when using the test button the link doesn't get corrected by removing the ".aspx" from the string. It will also still fail when attempting to follow one of these links through a browser. I had tried a few other variations of the syntax but it appears that the ".aspx" remains sticky in the re-direct result. Do you have some suggestions on why the Dynamic Redirect is not correcting? DynamicRedirectTest.JPG (46kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

Hi Mazhar, I've done more fiddling with the syntax of this and have a solution that appears to be working. DynamicRedirectFixed.JPG (40kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

That sounds great! The use of dynamic redirects is correct for this purpose. This can definitely help someone else struggling with redirects.
