Over the last several weeks all PayPal orders that are placed, captured and not shipped are throwing the following errors every two to three hrs during the day in our 9.0.3 latest version build. We use both PayPal Express and standard only. I've looked at the Widget triggers

This is only happening to PayPal orders only. I looked at some previous post regarding PayPal issues, which none pertain to this problem. This is the first time we have seen these errors since upgrading from 9.0.2 to 3.

We recently identified this issue and we are working on the fix. This issue is related to the redirection code in response to the Paypal notifications which is creating error log entries.

Hello....wondering if there is a fix on this issue yet.

We've just upgraded to 9.0.3 and orders using PayPal are causing repeating errors. We have been able to complete the transaction and capture funds but the PayPal IPN system is "retrying" to send the IPN messages to our system even after the transaction has been captured. The IPN history showing in PayPal is HTTP response code 500 if that is helpful. Prior to upgrading to 9.0.3, the IPN History messages show HTTP response code 200.

I can provide additional information if required.

It seems that IPN notification lands on ProcessPayPal.ashx does the required actions and issues a redirect to order page. That's where IPN is redirect to login page since its protected page and IPN is using HTTP post. This seem to result in missing anti forgery token error since the register dialog expects it to be present in POST request.

As a temporary workaround, you can create a specific page for registration and move the register dialog from Login to Register page. A link to registration page can placed on login page instead.

I've done a quick confirmation of this and it is confirmed to work.

I simply removed the "Register Dialog" from the Login page without bothering to create a link to a new Create Account page. At least one of the PayPal IPNs that were retrying has successfully completed without error.

Do you have an idea when a more permanent fix will be available?

In the meantime, I'm contemplating the logic of the website and wondering if the "Create Account" page is really necessary. If a person already has an account, they would simply use the login page to gain access.

If a person does not have an account yet, the only reason they would be creating one would be in the process of checking out which is already handled in the checkout sequence with the combination "Checkout Login or Register" widget.

The standalone "Create Account" page might be redundant at least that I can see on a strictly retail site. Is there another circumstance that I'm overlooking where a person will need to create an account other than checking out?
