Not if you issue the refund in the backend of authorize.net, but I understand if you wish to do this inside of Ablecommerce.

Why not do refund under Admin? Been doing that for years.

After I disabled 'Enable Payment Data Storage' in the System Setting, it seems work. So far, not declined payment. But doing so would cause inconvenience for credit card refund. All refund need to call the customer for card info before able to issue a refund. Can this be fixed on next batch?

This issue is identified and fixed for next release. Sorry for the inconvenience, but for now you either have to enable the CC storage OR enable Payment data storage.
Thanks for your support!

If you're using Authorize.Net, you should be able to issue refunds through the admin payment page without having to store credit card details. When the refund button asks for the card number, simply enter the last 4 digits found in the reference number for the original payment. For example, If it is shown as 'x1234' then enter 1234 and AuthNet will perform the refund.

Last I checked, this was possible within three weeks of the original payment capture. After that, you must either have full card details or refund through the AuthNet merchant website.

Maybe you should post the issue in the Bugs topic. AC hasn't answered the one in the old forums, but maybe they would fix it in AC9 if you posted a bug since we know what the issue is. There's not much use in having CIM if customers can't check out using it.
