Still not working after following the steps above.
Each time I go to plugins page asks if I want to install Zapier. I click yes, nothing happens. Upon returning to plugins page the popup to install Zapier appears again but it never installs.

It is the same error again.

I am going to attempt a AC 9.0.2 upgrade install locally, and try to reproduce the issue. I believe you have upgraded from AC 9.0.1 to 9.0.2?

Hi,

I just attempted an upgrade from AC 9.0.1 store to version AC 9.0.2. And after that I am able to successfully install the Zapier plugin without any issues.

zapier config.png (61kb) downloaded 0 time(s).

From the error log its clear that the plugin is not loading when an install is attempted. A "Refresh" button click or IIS restart should have fixed this issue.
Or may be there is something wrong with the IIS or Asp.Net temporary files cache.

Is it possible to re-attempt an upgrade from your AC 9.0.1 version to 9.0.2? You said its a dev environment.

Thanks for your patience.

Hi,

Thanks for posting the details, I see some of Zapier required assemblies (dll files) have multiple versions present and loaded:

System.Net.Http.Formatting: 5.2.7.0
System.Net.Http.Formatting: 5.2.2.0

System.Web.Http: 5.2.2.0
System.Web.Http: 5.2.7.0

System.Web.Http.WebHost: 5.2.7.0
System.Web.Http.WebHost: 5.2.2.0

Though I am not sure that its the reason, but its worth trying to figure out. Do you have some custom plugin which references to these assemblies?
The assemblies list show an assembly with following details:

UPS: 1.0.0.0

If you please remove this component/plugin, clean build the website, and check if the duplicate versions of the above assemblies resolved.
Then try the Zapier install.

Thanks.

I have uninstalled the UPS but that didn't resolve the issue.
We are not running any customer plugins.

Which version on the DLLs should we be using? I assume the latest?
I'm not sure what is referencing the 2 versions but I can look into it.

It looks like 5.2.2 is in
Website\Plugins\ZapierWebApi

and
5.2.7 is in:
packages\Microsoft.AspNet.WebApi.Client.5.2.7\lib\net45

Should I replace the copy in the Zapier folder with the newer copy from the other location?

I am not sure why you are using the "packages\Microsoft.AspNet.WebApi.Client.5.2.7\lib\net45 " for?

We need to try only one version of the assemblies.

Please delete the duplicate assembly files under the Zapier plugin folder:

Website\Plugins\ZapierWebApi

And see how it works

Thanks.

Removed the version under Zapier folder, still having same behavior.
When I go to Plugins page under admin it prompts me to install Zapier.
I click install and the dialog prompting to install goes away but nothing happens.
If I return to plugins page the same dialog appears each time.

If its a development setup, I wonder if you could spin a new install without Visual Studio and give it a try. Let's see if it works for you in a fresh install.

The reason you see popup when you visit the plugins page is that its stuck in Installing stage waiting to go ahead or cancelled. Instead of confirming the Install choose to cancel it and popup will go away. It won't appear unless you try to install the plugin again.

Ok, I can try to spin it up outside of the development environment to see what happens.
This may take a day or 2 to get instance set up.

However, is there any way to install it manually?
I ask because eventually we need to get it under source control and obviously if we have this issue with any plugins in the future we may need to test them in development before deployment.

Can you please look under the Windows Application Log for any ASP.NET error related to AbleCommerce install? I wonder if its some assembly issue that we get some more details in windows log.

I finally got everything deployed to server. It still will not install.

Luckily, it is hosted on giantcommerce, so will just submit a support request so you can see what is happening.
