AbleCommerce is re-validated PCI Certified PA-DSS 1.2

While we haven't continually worked to update our blog, we have continually worked to maintain PCI compliance in AbleCommerce!   We just received re-validation from the PCI Security Standards Council effective July 31st 2012.

Apparently there are a LOT of vendors using the term 'PCI Compliant' on their website, in an effort to mislead clients into thinking their solution is safe and secure.  The PCI Security Standards Council recently issue this official statement.

"If a payment application has not undergone a PA-QSA assessment and/or its Report of Validation has not been approved by the Council, per PA-QSA program requirements the vendor should not in any way imply that the payment application is "PCI compliant". (full text below)
