1993

Founded in 1993 in Vancouver, Washington, the vision and the potential of the world wide web was starting to unfold.

1994

Version 1.0 of ColdFusion was the foundation for the first version of AbleCommerce's online store building software, first released in November of 1994 under the name of StoreBuilder.

1998

An exciting year! AbleCommerce 2.6 released. Able Solutions honored for Innovations in Electronic Commerce award presented by CommerceNet. James R. Borck with InfoWorld quotes "This is a powerful yet affordable I-commerce solution that I can certainly recommend.

Google was born on September 4, 1998 and will forever change how we do business on the internet.

2000

Just before Ebay came along, we created and released AuctionBuilder Enterprise 1.0.

2001

Released in 2001, AbleCommerce 3.0 is the most comprehensive and affordable ecommerce solutions for merchants. We go head to head with Microsoft Commerce Server and IBM WebSphere Commerce. Keith Schultz with InternetWeek states, "AbleCommerce from Able Solutions does a pretty good job of looking like David to IBM's and Microsoft's Goliath"

2002

AbleCommerce® 4.3 released, the very latest addition to our best of breed, electronic commerce shopping system.

2003

AbleCommerce® 5.2 released with content management and electronic software delivery.

2004

An explosion of ecommerce shopping this year! AbleCommerce now offers hosting and a new partner program. Official launch of the AbleCommerce Community Forums.

2006

A Secure Visa/MC PCI compliant solution with AbleCommerce 5.5 CFMX

2007

Released in 2007, AbleCommerce's 7.0 Asp.Net 2.0 based store building software is in it's seventh generation. AbleCommerce wins asp.netPRO Readers’ Choice Awards for Best e-Commerce Package and Product of the Year! "With a variety of products and services from which to choose, it takes quite a following to take top honors in this category,” said David Riggs of asp.netPRO.

2008

We make ecommerce affordable for all merchants by dropping our price to $995 and it continues to be at a very low price for a full ecommerce package.

2009

AbleCommerce software was officially PCI certified under the new, and stricter, PA-DSS v1.2 standards on June 1st 2009. AbleCommerce was one of the first shopping cart software products to be certified under the new PA-DSS certification process.

The 11th release of AbleCommerce Gold as we continue to create an affordable feature rich electronic commerce shopping system. Our latest version includes a new Mobile Responsive template.

The 12th release of AbleCommerce Gold includes a back in stock notification, 93 new payment gateways, Improved WEB API by exposing customers and orders information and many other enhancements.

2017

Added new development staff to speed up development of our next major release.

2018

Beta released of AbleCommerce 9 with the first draft of content management platform.

2019

Final version of AbleCommerce 9 with content management features and language string resources available.

2020

Continuing development of AbleCommerce 9 with massive improvements to SEO and Security features. A new integration with Zapier to integrate with thousands of apps.

2021

Continuing development of AbleCommerce 9 with new integrations for Paypal PayFlow Pro and Cybersouce. Upgrade support added for old versions of AbleCommerce.
